Celebrating our marriage in a 2,600 year old port

After 10 years of living in France we had never seen the Mediterranean, so as a belated wedding anniversary present to ourselves we jumped on a cheap flight and zipped down to Marseille for the weekend. We had heard that Marseille was just a big city like any other. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you just need to know where to look. It was a visual feast – hard to describe, so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, although the colour of the water in the photos goes nowhere near the captivating blue of the Med in real life.
